Glasgow, 10-14 August 2015
The 18th International Congress of Phonetic Sciences was held in Glasgow, U.K., from 10 August to 14 August 2015. It was jointly organised by a consortium of four Scottish universities: the University of Glasgow, Queen Margaret University, University of Strathclyde and the University of Edinburgh. In total, 774 papers were presented covering a wide variety of topics in phonetic sciences. These included 4 plenary sessions, 10 discussant sessions where 50 papers were presented, and 720 papers in regular sessions consisting of 345 oral presentations and 375 poster presentations. Contributions came from 46 countries. 229 reviewers took part in the double-blind review of the congress papers. 8 satellite meetings were also held. In total, 978 delegates attended the Congress.
Proceedings
The editor of the Proceedings and the Abstract Book is The Scottish Consortium for ICPhS 2015 consisting of the members of the Local Advisory Board. Maria Wolters, Judy Livingstone, Bernie Beattie, Rachel Smith, Mike MacMahon, Jane Stuart-Smith and Jim Scobbie were particularly involved in their production.
The online version of the series of the ICPhS Proceedings has the ISSN 2412-0669 (the publisher is the International Phonetic Association: London).
The online version of the Proceedings of ICPhS 2015 has the ISBN 978-0-85261-941-4, and the USB version of the Proceedings of ICPhS 2015 has the ISBN 978-0-85261-942-1 (the publisher is the University of Glasgow: Glasgow).
The Proceedings of ICPhS 2015 are posted here under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0). This means that the work must be attributed to the author (BY clause), no one can use the work commercially (NC clause), and the work cannot be modified by anyone who re-uses it (ND clause).
